Additional information
Lab equipment (type Martindale) to determine abrasion resistance and pilling effect (formation of pills) on textile fabrics, for up to six samples. The samples are put on holders and will be kept under friction with 9 kpa or 12 kpa (kilo pascal) pressure, moved in several directions (vertical, horizontal, diagonal, “lissajous”) according to the test / norm.
The kind of movement for each the test/ norm is adjusted by changing mechanically the position of three guiding pins. The number of friction cycles is programmed on touch screen controller according to the test / norm. The test can be interrupted for one of the samples, removing it during the trial, and inserting it back later on during the test, when its individual cycle counter will be reactivated. Cycle counting control is made by digital counter with touch screen display, which indicates the cycle counter for each individual sample (position).
